DANLIN Drilling & Completion Chemicals
Danlin Drilling & Completion has developed a complete system with accountability for the treatment of frac water and drilling fluids to control Sulfate Reducing Bacteria (SRB). Sulfate reducing bacteria causes severe corrosion by producing hydrogen sulfide gas and iron sulfide solids. Our complete system for bacteria treatment was developed because the biocides being utilized were failing in the control of SRB. Not only was it failing, it did not have a monitoring program to evaluate the success or failure for future treatment. Sweet zones were becoming sour after completion and casing failures were occurring due to microbial attack from the bacteria introduced through the drilling and completion process.
Danlin Drilling & Completion will isolate the specific strain of SRB present in the drilling and completion fluids and not the standard laboratory strains for testing. Kill studies are performed on the specific bacteria strain to determine the optimum treating rate to achieve a successful result. Serum broth cultures are taken during the frac job to determine the success or failure of the treatment.
Danlin Drilling & Completion will furnish a treating trailer to treat the fluids both completion and drilling. The treatment of frac water is done in the frac tanks and not on the fly. The success of the treatment is predicated by contact of the Nobac biocide with the bacteria. On the fly treatments have limited contact and mixing time allowing bacteria to survive and contaminate the well. The continuous injection and/or batch treatment with Nobac will control the SRB contamination of the drilling fluids.
Danlin Drilling & Completion will inoculate serum broth cultures to monitor the biocide treatment of the completion and/or drilling fluids. Nobac products have proven to be an excellent biocide group with sterling results while saving money in most cases.
